“You need music. I don’t know why. It’s probably one of those Joseph Campbell questions, why we need ritual. We need magic and bliss and power and myth and celebration and religion in our lives and music encapsulates a lot of it.”~Jerry Garcia
There’s something great about real life. I love feeling alive. My strength is my enthusiasm. You know what you see is what you get. Some days I feel preppy. Some day I feel rock-n-roll. Some days I feel hippie. Some days I feel glamorous. Some days I feel like a rebellious 13-year-old boy. And I think all are acceptable.
I am absolutely 110% addicted to seeing talented and dedicated musicians play their respective instruments. Funky beats and bass lines are preferred and pretty much all I can ever think about. Just turn up the silence and I am happy!!!
I want to share my sparkle, so we can all share the shine but please be forewarned! I attend 3+ shows a week to feed my addiction and I might be slow at posting because I am having too much fun. Which is what you should be doing…GO SEE LIVE MUSIC!
Please smile and step forward with this music!!!☆
Karen,
I am so proud of you and so glad you have found happiness again. Enjoy life and your city!
Love,
Mommy

Grooving to the intoxicating rythyms Michael Franti and Spearhead we met on Saturday afternoon at Mountain Jam. You were with such lovely company as well. It’s really a pleasure to hang out and I look forward to many more close encounters on the dance floor. MJ was my best festival experience ever! And MMJ is the freaking Bomb!
To quote Bogie in the last line from Casablanca – this looks like the start of a beautiful friendship 🙂

Thanks for the Miles Tribute info. Great job. Please check out some live improv from musicians all over the world, although mostly not in the same room at the same time. The WWW is a great tool for musicians to learn. I hope you find something in a style you like as they vary wildly from track to track. http://www.jamlab.us Peace, Kurt

Hey TR et all – I just got back home to NJ after seeing the incomparable Joe Bonamassa for night 2 at the Beacon on Broadway. This guy and his band is a do not miss in this lifetime kind of thing. There are few who can play on his level (seriously)! It’s a sit down show that get’s the heart dancing.
Karen I love you so so so much!! KILL IT RAGE IT HARD!
You are the best raging roll dog I have ever had. Twenty years and still jammin!
